In the 2025 season, Malik Baker II emerged as one of West Virginia State’s most dangerous targets, earning First Team All-MEC honors while finishing second in the league in receptions per game (4.4), receiving yards per game (72.9), and yards per catch (16.7), with 583 yards and seven touchdowns.[14] He’s the kind of receiver who stresses defenses vertically and in the red zone, and reports from WVSU highlight his knack for game-turning plays, including multiple touchdown catches and clutch late-game grabs.[6][7][13] If a team wants a polished, productive, high-upside WR who can win with explosiveness and timing, Baker should absolutely be on the radar.[14]
