Jay Mentink brings two-sport toughness and a versatile left-right bat to Princeton
In the 2026 season, Mentink was sidelined by injury, but his Princeton profile still points to a gritty, multi-sport athlete with legit upside: he is a left-handed hitter who throws right-handed, has experience at outfield and DH, and arrived with a strong prep résumé that included three-time All-SPSL honors and a team MVP nod. In the 2025 season, he hit .152 with 5 hits and 3 RBI in 17 games, so the bat is still developing, but the athleticism, competitiveness, and dual-sport edge make him an intriguing depth piece for a team that values versatility and resilience.
