Missouri State Bears Center with Elite High School Pedigree, Limited College Impact
Bruce Marshall, a 6'10" center for the Missouri State Bears around 2014-15, flashed immense high school promise at Fayette (Mo.) High, averaging 28.9 points, 12.0 rebounds, and 6.8 blocks as a senior in 2011-12 while draining 58 threes—rare versatility for a big man. In college, he struggled for minutes (7.5 MPG in 21 games, 1.5 PPG, 35.8% FG), suggesting raw athleticism but adaptation challenges to D1 pace. Now 31 (per CBS), he's no longer active; his shot-blocking intensity and scoring touch made him a developmental gem, but unproven at higher levels—pass unless seeking project potential.
