Local WV Guard with Elite High School Pedigree, Now a Reserve for West Virginia
Chase Connor, a 6-0 guard from Shady Spring, WV, brings a unique differentiator as a former state leader in scoring (27.0 PPG) and assists (6.4 APG) at the high school level, showcasing an intensity and playmaking instinct that raw college stats (1.7 PPG, 36.2% FG in 2025-26) don't fully capture. While currently a reserve averaging just 5.0 minutes per game, his deep local roots and proven ability to lead a team in both scoring and assists as a senior suggest high resilience and a 'team-first' personality. He is a good fit for a team needing a gritty, experienced reserve who understands the pressure of leading a squad, though he requires development to translate his high school dominance to the college level; his injury history is not publicly documented, but his limited minutes suggest he is building stamina rather than recovering from major setbacks.
