FAU veteran OL Chris Newbold brings rare experience and steadiness up front
Newbold is a **6-foot-5, 295-pound redshirt senior** who spent five seasons with Florida Atlantic before joining the program’s 2024 radio broadcast team, a sign he knows the Owls’ culture and system inside out. His biggest value is **experience, size, and continuity**: he has lived the grind of a full college career, which usually translates into dependable technique, communication, and line-room leadership. For a team needing a mature interior/outside line presence rather than a flashy stat sheet, he profiles as a steady, culture-fit **OL** with built-in institutional knowledge.
