Jordan Ransone was Butler’s edge-to-edge disruption engine in 2016
In the 2016 season, Butler defensive lineman Jordan Ransone was one of the Bulldogs’ best pass-rush weapons, finishing with a team-high 5.5 sacks and 7.0 tackles for loss while earning First Team All-PFL honors. He was also a captain, which says plenty about his toughness and command in the room, and Butler credited him with producing pressure up the middle that changed games. The one caution flag: he suffered a severe leg injury in late October 2016 and missed the rest of the season, so his fit hinges on medical durability as much as production.
