Freshman DB Benjermin Drake brings active depth to Grambling State’s secondary
In the 2026 season, Benjermin Drake is a freshman defensive back for Grambling State who has already logged 2 total tackles, all solo, through the early part of the year[2][4]. At 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, he profiles as a lean, rangy defensive back with room to grow, and his early usage suggests the staff trusts him to contribute in the rotation[2][5]. The big takeaway: he’s a developing defender with early-game snaps and an active motor, which makes him worth watching as a fit for teams valuing upside and speed in the secondary[2][5].
