a long, sturdy Michigan tackle who brought real Big Ten battle-tested reps
In the 2010 season, Perry Dorrestein was a 6-foot-7, 321-pound fifth-year senior offensive lineman for Michigan who had already started 22 games at tackle and appeared in 31 career contests, giving him the kind of experience coaches love up front[2]. His calling card was size, consistency, and scheme fit more than flash: one Michigan observer described him as someone who “was Perry” — dependable, functional, and not easily rattled — while noting he played well within the system even if he was not a mauler who overwhelmed people[11]. If your team wants a mature, steady tackle with legitimate game reps and a pro-style frame, he fits; if you want pure athletic ceiling, he’s more solid than sexy[1][2].
