Jake Nobles flashed midweek-starter upside for Saint Mary’s as a true freshman
In the 2026 season, Jake Nobles emerged as a useful Saint Mary’s arm with a 5.71 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and a 1-1 record across 18 appearances and four starts, while also showing swing-and-miss potential with a career-high five strikeouts in multiple outings. He’s a 6-foot-4 right-hander who can also fill a utility role, and that versatility plus his ability to bounce back after rough innings makes him interesting. The fit is better for a team that wants developmental upside and roster flexibility than for one needing an instant lockdown ace.
