Eastern Illinois DL Zed Asowata brings proven disruption and veteran run-stopping experience
Asowata is a seasoned defensive lineman whose best calling cards are interior toughness, backfield disruption, and active hands: at Midwestern State in 2022 he logged 29 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks, and in 2020 he posted 3.5 sacks in just three games while ranking among Division II’s forced-fumble leaders; he also earned repeated academic honor-roll recognition, signaling reliability and work habits. For a team, he profiles as a high-motor, scheme-flexible DL who can add depth and edge in the trenches rather than a pure stat-sheet star.[3]
