veteran Tulane edge presence with a physical, assignment-safe game
Daren Williams was a junior defensive end for Tulane in the 2016 season, bringing a 6-foot-3, 250-pound frame and a proven rotational track record: 28 career tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack through 20 games. His value was less about flashy production and more about being a sturdy, experienced edge defender who could hold the point and do the dirty work. He entered fall camp as a backup, but his reliability, size, and multi-year experience made him a solid fit for teams needing depth and discipline on the defensive line.
