Eugene Wright brings compact DB size and SFA roster continuity
Eugene Wright is listed by Stephen F. Austin as a sophomore defensive back from Rosenberg, Texas, at 5-foot-9 and 177 pounds, which suggests a smaller, quick-footed profile built for coverage and reaction rather than pure length[1]. Publicly available roster data does not show a detailed 2026 stat line here, but his presence on the SFA roster and ESPN player page indicates he remains part of the Lumberjacks’ defensive mix entering the 2026 season[1][2]. For a team, the appeal is a likely slot/coverage specialist with under-the-radar value; the caution is that there is not enough accessible production data here to call him a proven stat-sheet standout yet[1][2].
