Davon Dunn brings veteran DB versatility and special-teams value to Portland State
Dunn is a battle-tested cornerback who converted from wide receiver to defensive back and has shown he can contribute in coverage, as a tackler, and on special teams. In his 2013 season at Portland State, he played in seven games, posted seven tackles, three pass breakups, and a tackle for loss, while also handling kick returns. His earlier Fresno State résumé shows added value as a nickel/slot defender with 41 career tackles there and consistent special-teams production, making him a fit for a staff that wants versatility, toughness, and experience over raw projection.
