Ben Nugent brings contact pop, speed, and two-way upside for Towson
In the 2026 season, Towson’s Ben Nugent has been a useful spark plug, hitting .289 with a .413 on-base percentage, eight RBIs, five runs, and a pair of relief outings on the mound[1][2]. He’s the kind of player coaches like because he can help in multiple lanes—left-handed bat, outfield defense, and emergency innings—while also showing real situational value after earning CAA Rookie of the Week honors in 2025 for a .462 week[2][5][13].
