steady Mississippi State kicker with proven clutch-leg experience
John Michael Marlin’s Mississippi State profile reads like a reliable specialist: in his career he went 8-for-16 on field goals and 23-for-27 on extra points, including a long of 23 yards, which suggests a kicker who was trusted for routine scoring chances but wasn’t a high-volume deep-range weapon. He’s the kind of player teams value for poise, consistency, and handling game-day pressure without much drama. If you need a calm, veteran-ish kicking presence rather than a booming statistical outlier, he fits that mold.
