Ryan Marohn’s stock is climbing fast as a lefty with pro looks and draft buzz
NC State LHP Ryan Marohn entered the 2026 draft cycle as a polarizing arm, with rankings ranging from No. 74 to No. 147 across major evaluators, and he was ultimately selected by the Pirates in the fifth round, 140th overall, which signals real pro interest in his profile.[2][3] A 6-foot-2, 195-pound left-hander from the Collegiate National Team, he offers the kind of size, handedness, and track record that can attract teams hunting for upside, even if opinions on his exact ceiling differ.[1][2]
