Jake McClure is a depth tight end with special-teams value for Western Illinois
McClure’s current profile is that of a low-volume, versatile TE who can help on special teams and provide reliable spot-duty at tight end; in 2022 at Western Illinois, he appeared in 11 games, caught 1 pass for 11 yards, and also logged 2 kickoff returns for 20 yards, which suggests a team-first player with willingness to do the dirty work rather than chase touches.[8][2] For a roster, he fits best as a complementary piece: useful if you need toughness, assignment discipline, and multi-role depth, not a high-upside receiving centerpiece.[8][2]
