depth-chart safety with intriguing upside for New Mexico
Xavier Hailey is a New Mexico safety whose profile is more about fit and developmental upside than headline-grabbing box scores; public stat-tracking shows limited production so far, with one tracked season listing 2 tackles, while his listed build at 5-11 and 175 pounds suggests a compact, physical defensive back. He’s the type of player worth watching if you like hardworking secondary pieces who can help on special teams and grow into a bigger role, but there isn’t enough verified recent production here to call him a proven impact starter yet.
