Werley brings championship-caliber high school polish and immediate lineup upside to YSU
In the 2026 season, freshman infielder Tatum Werley looks like an impact add for Youngstown State: a 2024 Pennsylvania 6A Player of the Year who hit .694 as a senior, with a school-record 173 hits and 138 runs scored at Wilson High School. YSU’s roster notes her as a 5-foot-5 infielder, and early 2026 game logs show she has already contributed as a run producer and runner in key spots. Why care? She brings elite prep production, high-contact bat skills, and proven winner energy—exactly the kind of tough, upbeat glue piece that fits a competitive roster.
