Shyan Mwai is a steady, shot-making LIU guard with a proven scorer’s touch
In the 2022-23 season, Shyan Mwai appeared in all 29 games for LIU, starting 19, and averaged 7.4 points, 1.7 assists, and 1.4 rebounds in 21.2 minutes per game; ESPN lists her at 7.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.3 assists. Mwai’s calling card is perimeter scoring—she got hot late in the season, producing 14.8 points per game over an eight-game stretch and knocking down 22 of 28 threes during that run. She looks like the kind of guard who brings spacing, poise, and reliable instant offense.
