Illinois DB Solo Turner: a developmental depth piece with upside
Solo Turner is a **young Illinois defensive back** whose value is more about **developmental upside** than box-score production, as he did **not play in a game in 2025** after transferring to Illinois with two years of eligibility remaining. He fits best as a **projectable cover-backfield option** for a staff that values patience, special-teams potential, and long-term growth over instant impact. Because there is no public game production to evaluate yet, the key differentiator is opportunity: if he translates his athletic traits into practice consistency, he could become a useful rotational DB.
