Freshman LHP Cooper Underwood brings power stuff and poise to Georgia Tech
Underwood enters Georgia Tech as a highly touted freshman left-hander and the 2025 Georgia Prep Baseball Player of the Year, with reports praising a projectable frame, downhill delivery, and a four-pitch mix that can already miss bats. In Georgia Tech’s 2026 season, he flashed the upside in a 5.0-inning relief outing with zero hits allowed and a career-best seven strikeouts, though command remains the swing skill after some early walk issues. The fit? Intriguing if you want ceiling, competitiveness, and a live arm that scouts believe can grow into more.
