Depth linebacker with special-teams value and room to climb
Chris Hopkins is a Brentwood Academy product and Austin Peay linebacker who has already shown value as a reserve and special-teams contributor; in his 2023 season, he played in nine games and recorded nine total tackles with a half tackle for loss. His appeal is less about gaudy box-score production and more about reliability, effort, and fit: a 6-foot-2, 200-pound defender who can help on coverage units and develop into a stronger every-down option as he adds production and polish.
