UAlbany's Rebounding Forward with Untapped Potential
In the 2025-26 season, UAlbany Great Danes forward Alex Barnhill is delivering 2.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game on 33.3% FG shooting (per ESPN stats), showcasing his hustle and board-crashing tenacity as a high-motor big man transitioning from Mekeel Christian Academy. His rebounding prowess stands out in limited minutes, hinting at defensive grit and physicality that could anchor a bench role—perfect fit for teams needing blue-collar energy without flash. Why care? Barnhill's raw intensity screams late-round gem with NBA Summer League echoes from similar prospects.
