Minnesota’s workhorse righty with swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, Selvig emerged as Minnesota’s most relied-on starter, leading the Gophers in wins, innings, and appearances while posting a 5-4 record, 5.21 ERA, and 58 strikeouts in 67.1 innings; he also flashed real bat-missing stuff with eight strikeouts in seven scoreless, walk-free innings against Iowa and a nine-strikeout outing against Kansas. He’s the kind of durable, competitive right-hander who can stabilize a weekend rotation, and his 2026 sixth-round MLB Draft selection by the Marlins underscores the pro appeal.
