Acrobatic QB with a Deep-Throw Frame and Freshman Upside
Damon Tamez is a 6'4" quarterback for Abilene Christian, and the profile to watch is the long, projectable frame that signals arm talent and development upside. His roster history shows he entered ACU as a true freshman in 2018, giving him a long runway to grow into the position rather than being rushed. For a team, the appeal is simple: size, quarterback pedigree, and room to mold; the question is current production, which is not clearly reflected in the available public stat snapshots. If you want a developmental QB with tools, Tamez is at least worth a serious look.
