Leon Saddler was a ball-hawking, first-team all-conference corner for Albany
Leon Saddler stood out at Albany as a reliable, playmaking cornerback, earning first-team All-NEC honors in 2012 after starting all 11 games, posting 36 tackles and a team-high 10 pass breakups. His value is in his consistency and disruption: he translated coverage discipline into real production, forced a fumble, and repeatedly showed he could stay on the field every week. For a team looking for a tough, assignment-sound defensive back who can challenge throws and create negative plays, Saddler fits the profile of a dependable starter rather than a highlight-only athlete.
