live arm, upside, and still plenty of runway
Barnard is a 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-hander for Nicholls whose profile screams projectable upside: his listed pitch mix includes a fastball in the 90-93 mph range, plus a slider, changeup, and curveball, which gives him more than one path to missing bats. He’s also on the 2027 Nicholls roster and earned Southland Conference Spring Honor Roll recognition in 2026, signaling both development and reliability off the mound. If your team likes power arms with starter traits, he’s the kind of arm worth keeping tabs on.
