CJ Baxter Jr. is Texas’ bruising, high-upside RB with NFL-style size
CJ Baxter Jr. brings a rare blend of **power, size, and burst** at 6'1", 227 pounds, and Texas and EA both view him as an impact back with major upside[1][6]. In his 2025 season, he logged **54 carries for 196 yards** and no rushing scores, but that stat line needs context: he missed the previous season due to injury, and the bigger question is how quickly he regains his pre-injury explosiveness[3][6]. What makes him intriguing is his downhill style and proven big-play pedigree from high school, where he piled up **1,718 rushing yards and 26 TDs** in 12 games[2][4].
