veteran YSU run-stopper with homegrown grit
Wes Thompson has been a long-time interior piece for Youngstown State, listed at 6-foot-0 and 290 pounds and originally from Boardman, Ohio, where he rose from walk-on to trusted defensive lineman. His value is the old-school stuff that doesn’t always jump off a box score: leverage, toughness, and steady effort against the run. He fits teams that want a physical, accountable DT who understands the grind and brings local-leader energy, not just flash.
