Emory Snyder brings rare size and ball production to WVU’s safety room
In the 2025 high school season, Emory Snyder showed the kind of two-way pop that jumps off the page: 64 tackles, five tackles for loss, two interceptions and 10 pass breakups, plus 21 catches for 376 yards and three touchdowns for Bixby. He’s a long, physical 6-3/6-4 safety/nickel who can cover ground, contest throws and still hit like a linebacker, which gives West Virginia a versatile chess piece. The fit looks intriguing because he’s the type of defender who can play multiple roles and grow into a bigger Big 12 body without losing his range.
