Youngstown State edge rusher with development upside
Ron John-Finn is a Youngstown State defensive end worth watching because edge defenders in the Penguins’ program are evaluated in a physical, high-effort front, and YSU’s 2026 roster lists him as a junior on the defensive line. Public team stat pages do not show his individual production clearly, so the better signal here is fit: he projects as a developmental DE who can help if he brings length, motor, and discipline at the point of attack, but he is not yet a confirmed stat-sheet star. For a team, the appeal is upside and toughness rather than proven headline numbers.
