Art Haynes brings speed-first safety upside to the Lobos
Art Haynes is a New Mexico safety with the kind of downhill, playmaking profile that can pop in a hurry if he keeps stacking snaps. The available team and stat pages don’t show a robust individual stat line for him yet, which usually means the best selling point is projection: range, instincts, and willingness to hit rather than a box-score résumé. New Mexico’s 2026 defense has been stout against the pass so far, so a safety in this room has a real chance to matter. If you want upside and physicality, he’s worth a look.
