Jase Williams brings linebacking depth and steady experience to Lamar
In the 2023 season, Lamar linebacker Jase Williams played in nine games, made one start, and recorded four tackles, with a season-high two stops at UL Monroe. The appeal is his steady, in-system profile: he’s a veteran body who has already seen game action and can give a defense reliable depth without needing the ball to find him. Publicly available stat lines show modest production, but Lamar’s own roster notes indicate he was part of the rotation for 14 games overall, which suggests trust from the staff and a ready-made fit for a team valuing consistency over flash.
