DeShawn Shead brings veteran-versatility and playmaking punch to Portland State
DeShawn Shead is a proven Portland State defensive back whose differentiator has long been consistency: he started all 44 games in his Viking career, won the program’s top defensive back honor four straight seasons, and finished with 211 tackles, 11 interceptions, and 29 pass breakups in his college career. He’s the kind of safety/corner hybrid who played with real edge, plus the stamina and football IQ to stay on the field and make plays all over the secondary. If you want reliability, toughness, and a defender who can erase passing lanes, he’s a very strong fit.
