Ball State’s dual-threat spark plug from 2019
In the 2019 season, Walter Fletcher was a legit do-everything back for Ball State, finishing with 726 rushing yards on 132 carries, 306 receiving yards, and 7 total touchdowns. His calling card was versatility and efficiency: 5.5 yards per carry, reliable hands out of the backfield, and enough burst to punish defenses when the Cardinals needed a play. He also showed toughness by producing a season-high 156 rushing yards in relief of an injured Caleb Huntley, which says plenty about his urgency and competitiveness.
