proven right tackle, award-recognized anchor of UAB’s line
Sidney Wells has been a dependable, high-level presence for UAB, earning First Team All-Conference USA honors in 2020 and 2022 while starting every game at right tackle in those seasons. In 2022, he helped power a Blazers rushing attack that averaged 235.3 yards per game and finished eighth nationally, while UAB’s line also allowed just four sacks in a season previously highlighted by the Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll. Why care? He brings size, consistency, and real trench credibility—exactly the kind of veteran tone-setter that makes an offense sturdier and a team easier to trust.
