Oregon State’s ball-hawking, record-setting safety
Meeuwsen is best known as one of Oregon State’s most disruptive defensive backs ever, finishing with a school-record 20 interceptions, 217 tackles, and 40 straight starts. In 2004, he was an AP Third Team and ESPN.com First Team All-American and a Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist, which signals elite instincts, range, and playmaking under pressure. For a team, he profiles as a high-IQ safety who takes the ball away, stays durable, and consistently shows up in big moments.
