Christian Duarte brings pro-style size and a two-way edge to Santa Clara’s staff
Christian Duarte enters Santa Clara as a true freshman left-handed pitcher in the 2026 season, and the headline trait jumps off the page: he’s a 6-6, 225-pound southpaw with multi-sport toughness and a strong prep résumé from Bellarmine Prep in the WCAL. In 2024, he struck out 22 batters in 18 innings with a 3.89 ERA, and across his first three years of high school baseball he logged 86 strikeouts in 71 2/3 innings. He looks like a high-upside development arm who could fit a program that values projection, competitiveness, and physicality.
