Mike Boykin brings veteran size, edge-setting grit, and disruptive flashes to North Alabama
In the 2020 season, North Alabama DE Mike Boykin showed the kind of length-and-power profile coaches love: he started three of four games, produced nine tackles with three for loss and a sack, and even blocked a field goal against Southern Mississippi. Standing around 6-foot-6 and 290 pounds, he looks built to hold the edge, collapse pockets, and win with experience more than pure flash. The big question is health and consistency, but the résumé says sturdy, physical, and battle-tested—a useful fit if a team wants a rugged front-seven tone-setter.
