Ball State’s George Udo brings veteran versatility and downhill toughness to the secondary
George Udo is a 6-foot, 206-pound graduate defensive back who gives Ball State real flexibility, with experience at safety, nickel, dime linebacker and even edge-adjacent roles; in 2024 he logged 78 tackles, 1 interception, 1.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, 2 pass breakups and 2 forced fumbles. He previously posted 44 tackles, 6 TFLs and 3 sacks across four BYU seasons, and coaches/recruiting profiles consistently point to his speed, tackling and physicality as differentiators. The main question is health and durability, but if you want an older, assignment-sound defender who can move around the formation and make plays near the box, he fits.
