Tennessee State Forward with Proven Scoring Punch and Rebounding Grit
Zion Griffin, a 6-6 forward for the Tennessee State Tigers, averaged 8.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and shot 47.1% from the field in his senior 2022-23 season after transferring from UIC, where he exploded for 11.1 PPG and a 27-point, 10-rebound double-double in 2021-22; a high school star (21.1 PPG, 9.0 RPG) plagued by 2020-21 injuries, Griffin's elite field goal efficiency (50.7% at UIC), three-point range (season-high 5 makes), and defensive chops (team-top steals/blocks) make him a versatile, high-motor glue guy—perfect for teams needing tough, efficient forwards who battle without the ball. Post-college, he's bounced overseas, showing NBA-free-agent upside.
