veteran FIU guard with a low-usage, steady-floor profile
Todd Smith brings a compact, team-first guard profile to FIU: in the 2001-02 season, he averaged 1.1 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 0.2 assists in 8.0 minutes per game while shooting 36.0% from the field and 63.6% from the line. The numbers say “role player,” but the value is in reliability, defensive activity, and not forcing offense; he’s a fit if you need a guard who can stay within himself and do the little things without hijacking possessions.
