Jayla Walker brings steady guard play and veteran Gamecock grit
In the 2024-25 season, Jayla Walker was a low-usage, steady Jacksonville State guard who averaged 2.6 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game on ESPN’s player profile, making her more of a connector than a volume scorer. Her value is in the glue stuff: experience, positional flexibility, and the kind of dependable, team-first edge coaches love when the game gets chippy and every possession matters. If a roster needs a tough-minded, disciplined guard who won’t try to be the hero but will do the dirty work, she’s a fit.
