veteran Butler linebacker whose value is built on trust, toughness, and special-teams reliability
Robert Koteff was a senior linebacker/defensive front piece for Butler and earned repeated internal recognition, including the team’s “One Play Warrior” special-teams award in 2011, which signals a dependable, high-effort, do-your-job player rather than a flashy stat-padding star[4][9]. In the 2011 season, he appeared in all 11 games and recorded 12 tackles, with a career-best two tackles in multiple games, while Butler’s coaching notes and player coverage pointed to him as part of a steady senior leadership core on defense[4][12]. If you want a linebacker who brings maturity, assignment discipline, and special-teams bite, Koteff looks like the kind of glue guy coaches love.
