Chad Bowie gives Sam Houston a steady, efficient two-way backcourt presence
In the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons, Chad Bowie was a reliable Sam Houston guard who brought consistent scoring, veteran poise, and solid defense, including a 2019-20 line of 7.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game with 1.9 steals per game. He also flashed a larger offensive role in earlier seasons, such as averaging 9.4 points per game in 2017-18, and his profile suggests a physical, high-effort, low-drama guard who can defend, handle secondary playmaking, and keep an offense organized. If a team wants toughness, basketball IQ, and someone who won’t need the spotlight to matter, Bowie fits that mold.
