veteran Villanova TE with reliable hands and a polished feel for the offense
In the 2021 season, Todd Summers was described by Villanova as one of the top tight ends in the CAA, with strong passing-game value, good hands, and a clear grasp of the offense; that profile fits a dependable, assignment-sound TE who can be trusted in the middle of the field[1]. He also earned CAA Football Second Team Offense honors in 2021[1]. For a team, the appeal is less flash and more function: Summers looks like a steady chain-mover and smart fit if you want a veteran tight end who understands leverage, routes, and timing.
