Tulane's Veteran F/C with Untapped Post Potential
Kiara Slaton, a forward/center for Tulane Green Wave, showed early promise as a 2007-08 freshman, appearing in 25 games with 7.3 minutes per game and scoring her first career basket against Georgia Tech, while later at A&M-Commerce averaging 1.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in limited 7.6-minute stints as a sophomore. Her raw athleticism and size stand out in old box scores like a 7-point, 4-rebound effort vs. Kansas State, but sparse minutes highlight consistency challenges; a high-motor big with rebounding grit who could thrive in a system needing physicality—solid depth fit for teams building frontcourt depth.
