Virginia Tech’s steady, defense-first guard with winning DNA
Laura Haskins isn’t a volume scorer, but she brings point-guard poise, toughness, and elite academic-plus-basketball discipline that coaches love; in her Virginia Tech career she piled up 389 points and 349 rebounds, and the Hokies consistently trusted her in big roles because she could handle the ball, rebound from the guard spot, and make winning plays without flash. The fit is strong for a team that values smart defense, reliability, and unselfish leadership over headline-grabbing offense.
