efficient, bruising depth back with special-teams value
In the 2026 season, Carson Morgan has flashed in limited work for Rice, going for 54 yards on 7 carries in the opener against HCU, while his 2025 production was modest at 18 rushing yards on 5 carries across 10 games. What makes him interesting is the frame-and-role combo: a 6-foot, 215-pound back with prior special-teams value, plus a high-school resume built on 2,000+ career rushing yards, 700+ receiving yards, and team-captain leadership. He looks like a physical, versatile complement rather than a feature back.
